I’d like to experiment with Synthetic Profiles. I made a screen capture to facilitate the discussion about the colorimetry one has to supply DisplayCAL. Please correct me if I am wrong but I get the impression that the CIE XYZs have to be ‘normalized’ in some fashion? So that they are all ‘relative’ to the Whitepoint Y = 100.00 ?

Yes. If you enter the chromaticity coordinates, this normalization happens automatically. You could also use a lower Y (although for profiles for emissive devices like displays, that typically doesn’t make sense), but then you have to calculate scaled-down X and Z (at least for white) manually.
