I’m a video editor and color grader. Working on an old display QX2710LED, and calibrating with the SpyderX. I am on Windows 10, and comparing photos on the display, as well as on my Note 9 phone and old Macbook 2011. The display, to my eye, has shadows that look rather washed out, where as the shadows on the two other displays are nearly crushed. I can use the Windows 10 self calibration thing to get my gamma to a point where it “looks” right, but I really don’t want to rely on that if possible.

I’m using the Preset Video, with no advanced options open.

Do not use that unless you have a superb contrast display. Use 2.4. Google what is Rec1886 if you want to know what you see that.
