I am a new user, and I am trying to understand the workflow.  In the pre-calibration phase, displayCAL has prompt screens where it wants me to use the monitor On-Screen-Menu and set the RGB sliders and brightness so that displayCAL bar hit the mark and turn green.   Do I only do this for white point?  If I next click the black-point, it has the same options for brightness and RGB markers, and wants me to adjust the monitor’s RGB sliders and brightness again.  But that would mess up the settings done previously for white point.   Is there a workflow guide or tutorial so that I can learn how to proceed through these menus and start the calibration?

    Thanks,

    Neal

Use RGB gains to get close to whitepoint, then on blackpoint you can try to use RGB offset controls, then back to whitepoint to minor tweaks.
