What is really odd is that no matter what I tried I simply could not get the profile to load, but then I opened the main DisplayCAL software and manually checked for updates (none were found) and this kicked the loader into gear and the profiles are now active!?
Since disabling the fast start-up I have had no more problems and it all works as it should
Hope it stays that way – * Fingers Crossed*
Hi John,
Did you just disable this under:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\System Settings -> ‘Define power buttons..’
Or is there somewhere else I can try?
I just followed this advice https://www.howtogeek.com/243901/the-pros-and-cons-of-windows-10s-fast-startup-mode/
… since big update tonite, i’m on 18362.175 now, profile loader works flawless.
the update was a mess and took hours, accompanied by “update couldn’t be completed” plus bsod “page fault in nonpaged area” after reboots.
finally, after some fixes by the updater process and some additional reboots, everything seems to be ok.
