I used your recommendation of rec2020 / p3 as input space when creating the 3dlut for Madvr. Output is SDR using madvr’s hdr->sdr shader.
The Gamut space of the monitor is P3
For rec2020 as input, it’s posterizing blue, as in the dolphins scene, p3 works fine
For P3 as input, it’s posterizing red, in the exmachina scene. rec2020 works fine

Which version of madVR are you using?
I am using the latest beta build. But I’ve also tested the v0 .92.17 official release as well.
Is there a recommended version for color accuracy ?

There should be quite a big difference between the official release and beta builds though.

Doesn’t really matter. For best accuracy and smoothest result, use a HDR to SDR 3D LUT instead of the pixel shader.
