yes!!!
for me it was that same situation.
my mobo are an MSI X570-A-PRO, and i use the MSI Center, the software that controls, among other tings, the rgb lights.
i closed the aplication and it worked.
Hello. I am posting here because this is the first result in Google search when searching for the name of the error.
I had this same problem, which I solved by closing my motherboard’s RGB control software, which I guess taps into USB devices in unexpected ways. In my case, it was Gigabyte’s “RGBFusion”. It’s possible that similar software from other manufacturers does this too.
After closing it, everything worked just fine immediately.
Cheers!
This worked for me too. Had this RGB Fusion installed recently and the errors started, I just closed it and DisplayCAL runs again, yay! Thanks.
