Hi, long time lurker here. Registered because I wanted to ask about CCSS issue I’ve been having for my monitor.
I purchased a MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M QD-MiniLED monitor (from here shortened to ‘e16m’ to avoid the alphabet soup of a name), and a Calibrite Display Pro HL.
On colorcorrections db I’ve found 3 CCSS files for e16m, but noticed that specplot shows different plots for two of them.
One CCSS file dated 2025-10-17 17:54:40 produces one graph, while other dated 2025-09-22 22:05:33 a different one, and not sure which would be correct. I’ve read on this forum that db can have some bad corrections in it, but I have no clue how to distinguish the good from the bad.
I tried comparing specplots from other MSI QD-LED monitors made by a reviewer on chimolog, and so far the 2025-09-22 CCSS seemed more “consistent?” with the rest. I have a feeling it’s wrong, so I’m asking if I’m overthinking this thing and any of CCSS would do just fine.
Oh, and the .ti3 files have different LUMINANCE_XYZ_CDM2 values, if this of any importance.
2025-10-17 17:54:40 has LUMINANCE_XYZ_CDM2 “134.844972 138.514096 159.170107”
2025-09-22 22:05:33 has LUMINANCE_XYZ_CDM2 “464.113859 488.113878 531.993745”
Thanks
