I am wondering if it is possible to utilize CCSS files uploaded by DisplayCAL users when using calibration software with EDR issues, such as EIZO CN7.
I have seen cases of converting EDR to CCSS, but I have not yet found any instances of the reverse.

Also I am currently calibrating my CG2730 using the i1 Display Pro and the CN7 with the .edr file from the CS2731 that you shared in another post.
Although the CG2730 has a built-in sensor, I am not using it because I am concerned about a decline in sensor accuracy since it is a 2021 model, and I have observed differences in brightness and color temperature between the top and center of the image.
In this situation, I wondered if converting the CG2730’s .ccss file to .edr and applying it might improve accuracy. Alternatively, I am considering purchasing the i1 Pro 3 to generate custom .edr and .ccss files for my CG2730, or to calibrate it.
I would appreciate your advice on what would be the most reasonable course of action in this situation.

You have EDR samples for CS2731 and CG319X, both W-LED PFS AdobeRGB green flavor with minor differences in red. You can use any of them as replacement for RG_phosphor in ColorNavigator 7 and will be good for any modern ColorEdge. Lastest Coloredges with GB-LED were CS2730 and some earlier versions of CS2420.

That is uniformity and cannot be corrected by calibration. Try enabling DUE uniformity, it should keep >1000:1 even with DUE set to uniformity because its high native contrast about 1500:1 (if loosing contrast bother you regarding video work)

ArgyllCMS ecosystem cannot use Eizo’s built in sensor. ou can use i1Pro”X” family of spectrophotometers or i1d3 colorimeters.
For i1d3 there is no need to purchase an i1Pro3 since you have suitable community EDR and CCSS.
You can generate CCMX for particular device, non portable, corrections to correlate your i1pro3 to exactly the paicular i1d3 you own, but AFAIK there is no way to port XYZ to XYZ matrix corrections to CN7. It has been requested to Eizo by several people but they do not care about this (yet).
AFAIK it s possible to create / update CG internal colorimeter correction to I1pro3 measurements using ColorNavigator7 (read the manual)… but this won’t help you with uniformity issues, only on center of screen-

Using your advice as a starting point, I decided to test all the .edr files in the i1DisplayProEDR folder. My method was to calibrate the CG2730 for each individual .edr file, and then verify the white point color temperature in DisplayCAL using the CG2730’s .CCSS profile.
Experimental Results:
RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12.original: 2.0 ΔE
RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CS2731: 0.2 ΔE
RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CS2740: 0.6 ΔE
RG_Phosphor_Family_25Jul12_CG319X: 0.3 ΔE
As you mentioned, the .edr files for the CS2731 and CG319X provided highly accurate white point alignment. I have decided to stick with the CS2731 .edr file. The slight discrepancy is likely due to the inherent differences between the .edr and .CCSS profiles.
Additionally, during my testing, I noticed that DUE was turned off in CN7, so I enabled it. While the contrast ratio dropped to 1214:1, I still find this to be a very acceptable level. Afterward, I verified the calibration accuracy of the CG2730’s built-in sensor. Comparing it against measurements taken from the center using the i1D3 and DisplayCAL, it proved to be quite accurate, showing a white point error of only 0.6 ΔE.
Considering all of these factors, I’ve concluded that performing the CN7 calibration with the i1D3 and the CS2731 .edr is the most optimal approach. While the built-in sensor performs well, the i1D3 calibration feels more reliable since it measures directly from the center. Since I have achieved a highly satisfactory level of accuracy, I will hold off on purchasing the i1 Pro 3.

On a separate note, I discovered an interesting quirk regarding CN7. In CN7, ‘Standard’ (STD) performs a basic full calibration, while ‘Advanced’ (ADV) is a high-precision calibration. The main difference is that ADV measures about seven additional gray patches and a set color gamut. However, I noticed that when the built-in sensor runs a scheduled automatic calibration, it uses the STD method—yet, upon checking CN7 afterward, the ADV profile is also marked as completed.
Since I currently perform ADV calibrations manually using the i1D3, this isn’t a major issue for me. However, I wanted to share this as it’s an interesting phenomenon that might raise some questions regarding the accuracy of the automated calibration. Please note that this behavior is based on the CG2730, so other CG models might behave differently.

Remember that CG2730 and CG2420 integrated sensor is not equal to the CG-X as you see in the manual. It may need more time to warm up (explained in manual) and may not be so accurate near black. Let it warm up and when making comparisions focus on white and primaries and greys, less in near black measurements.

Its a shame Eizo does not udpate the EDRs bundled in CN7. These EDRs I linked where provided by a consultor hired by Eizo APAC and shared in Lift gamma gain forums.
CS2731 sample is lost there, only CG319X remains but I saved it 😀Before that people built suitable EDR by spectral data repacement from HP Z24 G2 and repeating the WRGB sample 4 times since RGphosphor stores 4 x WRGB samples.
Example: open hex editor of a suitable EDR same 1nm resolution and same staring and ending nanometer wavelength. Same on RG_phosphor.
Locate the binary stream with WRGB sample. Replace 4 times this data on the hex editor with RG_phosphor. Save. Filesize muts be equal than before modification. ARgyll oeminst tool should be able to read EDR to CCSSOr by CCSS2EDR tools, but it may have some unresolved python dependencies.

On a well behaved ColorEdge it should have an small impact.
Also CN7 itself (and most display vendor-made hardware calibration softwares) relies heavily on the quality of uncalibrated grey ramp (regarding the color of greys), so it performs more “gamma calibration” and less to none grey color calibration (maybe it does something on “grayscale priority” on CN7 custom target definition)Since I currently perform ADV calibrations manually using the i1D3, this isn’t a major issue for me. However, I wanted to share this as it’s an interesting phenomenon that might raise some questions regarding the accuracy of the automated calibration. Please note that this behavior is based on the CG2730, so other CG models might behave differently.
