These two are not normal. Do you have any non-standard software installed via (e.g.) MacPorts or Homebrew?
Output after closing the measurement window is missing.
2019-05-01 at 21:13 #17169I’ve heard of Homebrew, I can google to see how to uninstall if I do.
2019-05-01 at 21:19 #17170Ok, the rest looks normal.
2019-05-01 at 21:19 #17171I ran an uninstall script for HomeBrew and MacPorts:

2019-05-01 at 22:28 #17173Attach the log of a calibration attempt please. Make the patch window as small as possible, connect Resolve, start measurement, after the initial measurements, cancel.
2019-05-01 at 22:57 #17174For some reason I’m getting an error now and I can’t complete the calibration.

2019-05-02 at 11:26 #17180I need the logs please (menu Tools -> Show log, click “Create compressed archive”).
2019-05-02 at 14:22 #17181Okay, here’s the log:

Been using DisplayCal with no issues the last year. Recently hooked up my grading monitor after business on the road the last few months and when calibrating the square fills the screen of my grading monitor, I no longer see a white square in my Davinci Resolve UI and the grading monitor never flashes white. When I run calibration it fails every time. The controls are very wonky on my monitor as well and the colors change in the opposite directions as SynchroFilms described.
Particulars:
MacBook Pro 2018 / macOS Mojave / Resolve 15 / X-Rite i1
Thanks-

2019-05-02 at 18:14 #17192Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m experiencing!
2019-05-02 at 18:19 #17193Yeah very weird because that has never happened. I thought I was going crazy, ha! When the “correct settings” are set to the colorimeter the screen is very green and bright, so I just had to adjust the monitor by eye and finish the project.
I tried running Resolve versions 15/15 Studio/16/16 Studio all with the same results.
2019-05-02 at 18:20 #17194Interesting. Glad you checked it out on 15 too. I was unable to roll back. Thanks!
2019-05-02 at 18:22 #17195From the log:
DisplayCAL: Sending RGB 0.500 0.500 0.500, background RGB 0.220 0.220 0.220, x 0.4594, y 0.4306, w 0.0797, h 0.1417
So, the correct values are being sent (width and height are equivalent to a pattern area of roughly 1%, or 153×153 pixels at FullHD res, about the smallest possible usable size for the patch window). Are you using the correct interface in Resolve (“Color” tab, menu “Workspace” -> “Calibration” -> “SpectraCAL CalMAN”)?
Are you using Resolve 16 Beta? Maybe DaVinci have broken something on Mac in the latest update?
