    Hey guys,
I would like to calibrate my monitor (Philips BDM4065UC) and my macbook pros (early 2011) monitor.
Event hough I don’t do any photo editing I would still like to be able to calibrate my monitor. I would also appreciate it if my laptops monitor and my external monitor are very close in their appearance.
But I’m not sure which color meter I should get. At the moment I’m looking at a spyder 4.
Would this meter suit my basic needs and are there any special things which have to be considered when using a spyder 4?

    Greetings
    Daniel

    Hi,

the Spyder4 is an older device and has been superseded by the Spyder5 (which has been reported to be more accurate). The ColorMunki Display or i1 Display Pro (the former is basically the same instrument as the latter, just somewhat slower) are generally considered to be the more capable instruments (much better speed than Spyders, can read lower light levels).
