    Hi,

    I am using Huey to calibrate an Acer LED monitor. Have the mcv…small error. Tried a couple of times, same problem.

    May I know where is the log kept so that I can upload to seek assistance?

    Thanks.

    Hey, thanks.

    Managed to grab the log and this is what it says. Can anyone help suggest a solution? Thanks.

    There are 3 files but I believed these 2 are the relevant ones. Thanks again.

    What instrument is this? The readings are totally out of whack, suggesting that the instrument may be broken in some form:

    Red = XYZ 52.347 12.584 0.676
    Green = XYZ 55.456 49.357 7.007
    Blue = XYZ 19.541 5.252 106.052
    White = XYZ 127.760 67.257 114.871

    Had to scale brightness from 67.236118 to -0.000000 to fit within gamut

    Oh??

    I am using a Huey Gretamacbeth calibrator on an Acer G247HYL LED monitor.

    Try if it works with the vendor software. How old is the Huey?

    Hi Florian,

    In light of your comment that the sensor may not be working, I have re-calibrated the led again using the vendor’s Huey calibration software (for gretaMacbeth). It works fine- the sensor is flashing, measuring and adjusting throught the process.

    Then I tried calibrating with Displaycal. The software recognise the instrument automatically. When I click “calibrate & profile” and then “start measurement” within the measurement area box, the sensor flashes and then the “interactive display adjustment” windows appear. From then on- be it during “start measurement” or “continue to calibrate” after that and the software going through the patches etc, the sensor never lighted/flashes at all.

    I guess it is not receiving instructions from the software to start measuring and calibrating? That’s why the error?

    Seems to only work with vendor software- but it should also work with this calibrating software right, being one of the listed sensors?

    Thanks.

    The question is if a usable profile comes out of it – can you attach it?

    It’s not supposed to when using Argyll (the flashing LEDs are just a gimmick).

    Certainly- I believed this is the profile file.

    Thanks.

    Certainly- I believed this is the profile file.

    That’s not the one – this comes from the MS Windows calibration wizard and is not based on measurements.

    Ok. Looking at that profile, I think it’s safe to say that the huey has indeed expired.

    Attached are the calibration curves from the profile as well as the gamut outline.
