I have calibrated my laptop for the first time and altough I do not understand the report it looks as if there is a lot wrong with my screen. I have seen a great difference in colours since calibrating and colours look much better then before but I would like you pros here to help me understanding the report. Thanks in advance

You have extremely low contrast, which seems to indicate you’re driving your display with the wrong output levels. If you are using nVidia graphics, set output levels to 0-255 in the nVidia control panel (under “change resolution”), equivalent settings should exist for AMD and Intel graphics. Same in DisplayCAL (in case you changed it).
Thanks Florian but I have a laptop and I have no options anywhere to set contrast levels
Or should I re calibrate and choose the Full Range RGB 0-255 in the output levels?
Or should I re calibrate and choose the Full Range RGB 0-255 in the output levels?
Correct, yes.
Ok many thanks I will re calibrate again and send report
I did a new calibration and this is what I get. Is it worse or better?

Contrast is still as low as before. Are you sure you are using the correct output levels (0-255)?
Yes and the brightness slider is at the middle at 120

Well, maybe the display really is just that bad (it seems to be an older CCFL-backlit type), or the Spyder3 has gone bad (it uses organic filters which deteriorate over time).
