    1. So I’m under the impression that windows desktop background is not color managed.  So I’m confused why the background seems to change when I apply my displaycal profile vs default, it seems to takeaway a hazy look, makes it darker.  How is it doing this if its not color managed?

    2. If i look at the information of my calibration and go to the tone response curve or calibration curves.  What is it supposed to look like, it seems to dip below the 45° line.  What does that mean?

    1. You’re seeing the effects of calibration.
    2. The tone response curve is simply the measured response of the display (after calibration). Calibration show the adjustment needed in the videoLUT (video card gamma table) to achieve the target.
