Hi all,
I use LG 55″ B8 OLED TV for viewing photos.
SpyderX software/sensor doesn’t support OLED, and it’s pretty much impossible to calibrate OLED TV with it, because of variable brightness.
But with DisplayCal, the measurement area can be small enough to not affect brightness.
So do you think it makes sense to calibrate OLED with SpyderX? And if so, which mode should be used? Would Generic with White level drift compensation be a good starting point?
Thanks for any answers,
Tero
Hi,
Would Generic with White level drift compensation be a good starting point?
Probably. When going through madTPG, you could also employ pattern insertion if needed (but white level drift compensation should be enough in non HDR mode).
