Do the spyder X Pro (this model : https://www.amazon.fr/Datacolor-SpyderX-Pro-%C3%A9talonnage-photographes/dp/B07M6KPJ9K) works on Debian 10.3 stable (I need to calibrate my IPS BenQ screen for Darktable / Gimp) ?

    Thanks for all,

    Romain.

    Hi,

So I bought the SpyderX Pro the last week, assuming if it don’t works with Debian stable i can use a windows laptop to configure my BenQ display with the datacolor software.

However SpyderX works “out of the box” with Debian stable (buster in may 2020). I install DisplayCal, plug the device, install argyll, reboot (if not, it don’t works), and follow the instructions. When the process ends, i just install the new profile. Very easy, even for a beginner like me. Many thanks for the developers.

My computer : Debian 10 buster (4.19.0 kernel),  Xfce 4.12 (without the colord GUI, only available on Xfce 4.14), DisplayCAL 3.7.1.4 + ArgyllCMS 2.1.2.

So maybe the page : https://displaycal.net/#requirements can be update ?

    Bye
