Yesterday I tried to calibrate my laptop’s monitor by first setting the right whitepoint through intels color correction sliders.
I set up the white point (6500) and started the calibration. After the calibration terminated I got a pretty decent profile for this cheap monitor but I came across a strange issue in photoshop and lightroom. When the profile is applied I get distorted colors in photoshop’s color palette and lose all dark colors in photos. On order to fix this I have to remove completely the profile from windows profile list.
What goes wrong? If I create the profile without messing up the intels color sliders the profile is perfectly fine, without the distortion but the colors are way of because of the white point.
