Spyder 2 oeminst problem

Trying to install my Spyder 2 on Mac, running OSX El Capitan.

I have original CD and Spyder software but Display cal will not find or load PLD file and asks if I’ve run oeminst.

oeminst gives the following message:

Obviously, something is stopping it accessing the files on the CD. How do I fix this?

I recommend using the automatic import in DisplayCAL.

Thanks Florian, that’s what I did. Also tried using import file function from CD, spyder2 express software file and a spyd2pld.bin file I found online. None of it has worked.

I’ve attached screenshots to show what happens….

Well, that makes no sense because the firmware seems to have been imported successfully. Check ~/Library/Application Support/ArgyllCMS/spy2pld.bin

Hi Florian

Just looked in ~/Library/Application Support/ArgyllCMS and there is no “spy2pld.bin” there, though plenty of other files relating to the spyder 2 instrument. I’ve attached a screenshot of all relevant files. Any idea what’s wrong or how I can fix it?

I would need the log output after trying to enable the Spyder2 in DisplayCAL.

Tell it where the setup(.exe) file is: oeminst /path/to/file

Thanks, but I meant directly after running “Tools” -> “Instrument” -> “Enable Spyder2”, so that the logfile contains the complete oeminst output as well.

Please delete/move the “Spyder2express 2.2” folder from Applications and try again.
