    Sorry, I’m new to this.

During the last phase of the process my screen took on a blue hue, then after another run it got purple. The hue wasn’t captured in my screen shots though. The resulting profiles were useless. You can see the results in the pictures.

I started with the default settings but I couldn’t make any adjustments to the monitor. The colors and brightness were all kinda’ close to the center. onitor is an Acer R271 and I tried it on Ubuntu 17.10 and Ubuntu Studio 17.10 which uses XFCE. The screen shots are from Studio.

I ran it one more time and here’s a picture of the strange color.

I have had this or a very similar problem with Linux, too. However I did not find a solution, so I went back to Windows.

From your photo, it looks like the cap is still on the instrument.

EDIT: It actually looks like the lens is facing away from the screen.

Am I that dumb? Is that a cap or a diffuser? I thought the lens was for ambient, when working with a projector? This instrument belongs to my camera club and the manual have been missing for years . I guess I should Google that…

    Thanks.

Googled it and, yes, I’m that dumb. Sorry to waste your time.

    Don’t worry about it.
