    Hi,

Since I calibrated my monitor with my Spyder X and DisplayCal, my monitor dim by itself when the background color is dark which is very annoying. It never did that before I made the calibration.

Is there a setting I should turn off in the calibration setting?

    Thanks,

Laptops with intel IGPU usually activate it in laptop displays, you must go to driver/GPU configuration and disable it and it’s different for every version.
Also some laptops enable if even disable if you power up display attached to AC charger.

For external monitors you must check OSD configuration, DisplayCAL has not enabled it.

    Hi,

It’s a desktop, not a laptop and I already check the monitor, there is no auto dim fonction on it.

As I said, it started straight after the calibration (it’s my first time using the spyder and displaycal).

    Thanks,

Then it is GPU driver issue, check GPU driver configuration, it is not related to DisplayCAL. DisplayCAL calibration is static, a static 1D LUT loaded into GPU to correct grey. That’s all.
