    Hello,

    I try to generate a scanner icc profile. Using first argyllcms and then displaycal
    I found how to on this page

    I do have a printed it8 (agfa) and its reference file.
    Using
    scanin -v Bureau/it8.tif /usr/share/argyllcms/ref/it8.cht Bureau/C60672XX
    does generate an it8.ti3 file.

    I get an error with dispalcal 3.5.2, archlinux,
    I’m using the menu
    Fichier -> créer un profil à partir des données de mesure

    I select my ti3 file, and it complains there is no “courbe d’étalonnage”, do you want to continue ? -> yes
    -> Fakeread : Error – COLOR_REP ‘XYZ_RGB’ invalid (Neither XYZ nor LAB)

    What am I doing wrong ?

    I made my scanner icc with argyllcms :
    colprof -v -A”Canon+” -M”Lide35+” -D”13-4-2018″ -qu -as Bureau/canon-0002

    canon-0002.ti3 being my new ti3 file

    DisplayCAL is a display profiler, it is not usable for making scanner profiles.

    Florian, thank you for your answer.

    I lost some hours with that page found on the internet.

    My scanner icc is really good , I did it 4 or 5 times before understanding how to get best results (600 dpi, and a larger cropping area : not just the colored squares …)
