This isn’t a Displaycal question per se, but I was wondering if you guys with 27″ monitors running 2560×1400 use scaling?  I’m coming from a 24″ 1980×1200 screen, and IMO, the 1440 at 100% is too small.  I can read stuff, but I don’t prefer it.  Since Windows seems to go in 25% increments, I decided on 125%, and that looks pretty good.  I think it’s slightly too big, but better than too small.

My other question is, I know we can also set a custom scaling number (anywhere from 100 to 500%), but is this a bad idea?  Could it lead to other problems rather than just sticking to 25% increments?  And finally, is Windows just scaling text and icons?  If I’m viewing an image, I’m still going to see more details than I would at 1080?
