From what I’ve heard about calibrating monitors hooked up to an M1-based Mac, I’m supposed to create a profile on a non-M1 based machine and then copy that over to the M1 based Mac. I’ve done that, but I realized that the non-M1 based Mac is connecting to the monitor in RGB mode rather than in YPbPr mode, while the M1-based Mac seems to always use the YPbPr mode.
Can I trust the profile to work properly on the M1 based Mac?
Truth be told, when I try to validate the profile on the M1 based Mac using the Verification step in DisplayCAL, I get a poor result– but I have no way of knowing if this is related to the use of the browser instead of the native window on M1 Macs.
