RGB/CMY Saturation, Tint, Luminance settings and monitor calibration

My LG monitor allows me to adjust the saturation, tint, and luminance of six colors (RGB and CMY). Are these settings useful for calibrating the monitor with DisplayCAL? If so, how should one make use of them to achieve better results?

Any six-axis controls are best left at default, as they tend to distort the gamut of the device. Using RGB gains is fine.
