Read input from Keyboard

I am using python script to automate the measuring using DisplayCal. I’m using the sample script provided.

The commands, when used in python script opens up the measure window and waits for the input a-z or A-Z ( using keyboard )which then scans and provides the Lab vales.

Now the question is how to send data using python instead of  user input to measure the lab of screen.
