this started to happend just now

i dont think i have changed anything

it seems that MAD TPG and Dispcal doesnt work in sync or that Dispcal thinks there are other testpatterns than the ones mad tpg creates

    what the hell i wrong?

peak luminance is way off and too low

black level is not measured correct

every reading seems to be out of order and sync.

    how do i fix this?

sending the last report where i just wanted to check grayscale with the build in graybalance verification chart

    one note:

it starts to measure 3 different patches before this grayballance chart

when it starts the grayballance chart it starts to read 6 near white patches

those patches are not even IN the chart

How do i reset all settings in Dispcal?

clearly something is WAY wrong here

tried to unintall both dispcal and madvr but the same problem

still dispcal throws the test patches out of order and puts up patterns thats not even in the test chart

also if i run the graybalance chart twice its different

the second time i run it dispcal throws up 100% white patches after one read from the testchart.

is this s bug that has happend now?

this program is REALLY STABLE LOL

it starts to measure 3 different patches before this grayballance chart

White, level 0, level 16. This is to make sure people use the correct levels configuration in madVR. It can only detect if blacks are crushed due to a wrong setting though, not if they are raised. Check your madVR output levels setting.

when it starts the grayballance chart it starts to read 6 near white patches

those patches are not even IN the chart

There are always four white patches (full white) before each testchart.

clearly something is WAY wrong here

Your readings seem off. Black level is much too high for a Plasma.

Found the problem: Newer madTPG versions move the mouse cursor in fullscreen mode to the center of the screen, so if the instrument is centered onscreen aswell, it reads the mouse cursor. This seems to be a madTPG bug/quirk, I don’t recall this being the case in previous madTPG versions. I’ll report it to madshi.

lol was it that simple ?

that explains the high blacklevel also

yes i noticed too that the mouse cursor from my second display where i have the dispcal window on disapears.

and yes the meter is spot on at center.

thanks and great that you found the problem

you can delete this thread if you want.

it probably looks worse than it was and will only make people confused

    nothing wrong with dispcal
