    Hello Florian 🙂

I have my workstation when I do two different tasks:
    – Photo editing in Lightroom/Photoshop
    – Video editing with DaVinci

    I’m confused with calibration.

For photo, I probably have to use specific white point defined via specific color temperature (5000 or 6500K), but for DaVinci the system suggest to use chromatic coordinates.

As a result, the process going wired, the system requiredifferent hardware settings for color channels to  acheivethe proper measurements.

So, what I have to do?
    – Use “DaVinci” settings and create profile based on chromatic coordinated for the general system,
    – or create the 3DLUT for DaVinci based on the D5000 “Photo” profile?

    Thank you in advance 🙂

P.S. I understand that compromise is not the best option…

    Hi,

it’s not required to use any specific whitepoint target for photo editing – you use what makes most sense. If you do photo editing for offset printing, then matching to a D50 light booth would probably be desired, or if you shoot photos for the web, then either the D65 equivalent coordinates or 6500K (doesn’t really matter much which of the two).
