    Hi,

I need to calibrate an OLED TV (OLED65B6V) soon (next week).

I have a X-rite monaco optix DTP94, i always the HCFR colorimeter software for my old tv. Now i start using DisplayCal, more modern and complete i think.

Question : is it possible to calibrate the OLED with this kind of hardware ? what are the specifications and the settings of the DisplayCal software to check before calibrating OLEDs ? I read that “standard” calibration procedure will produce bad things with OLED tvs.

    Thanks for your answers,

    Best regards.

    Hi,

is your aim to create an ICC profile or 3D LUT for use with a HTPC? If not, and you want a measurement guided way to adjust the TV, then HCFR is probably what you’re looking for instead.

    Many thanks for your answer,

yes, may aim is to create an ICC profile for my htpc. I use Kodi with nvidia graphic card.

But… i don’t know if the ICC profile is used during mkv movies playback.

If I’m not mistaken I think there is a Kodi branch with madVR (3D LUT) support, so that is probably the route you’ll want to take.
