Trying to get my monitor balanced.

Menu controls only give me temperature control, and there is a green spike according to displaycal white point calibration GUI.

I tried to modify single channels in the Nvidia control panel, and it all works fine…I can reduce the green no problem. But as soon as I start the displaycal calibration….it returns to more default settings. Displaycal is overriding the Nvidia control panel settings (even though it is set to “use nvidia setting”)

As soon as i press “start measurement” the color adjustment is overridden….

Any clue what is causing this, and how to fix?

The follow up question is….there is a quite noticeable green spike….without the video card color controls to correct it, would a monitor profiling still be useful without first having a proper white point?

    Thanks

You already answered your own question: You cannot adjust the calibration using one program and simultaneously use another program to do the same. If your monitor does not have actual hardware controls, skip interactive whitepoint adjustment.

Ok, I wasn’t sure how vital it was to get the white balance perfect first.

    Thanks
