    Hi,

    How can the software on my laptop be set to detect  and CALIBRATE my external OLED TV

    Software is detecting my i1 display

    You could find all of the instruction at https://displaycal.net/.

    I guess for OLED, you’d need to select a correction: “Spectral: LED OLED” for the i1 Display. Also enable: “White level drift compensation” since you’re calibrating an OLED.

    Any idea from a novice how to enable the test patterns for calibration to show on my oled, do I connect it via hdmi from my laptop or are there they other options

    Directly connecting the Laptop is the most straightforward option. You could also use a Chromecast as pattern generator.
