I have a dell 9370  with a 4k screen that has a  Sharp SHP148B LQ133D1 panel.  I purchased a i1 display pro and I’m trying to calibrate it with displaycal.  I have a couple questions.

    1.  Not sure which correction to pick.

    2. When it goes to profile it says my green is set to high.  The only way I can fix that is by going into the Intel display settings and bringing down the brightness on green only.  Does that sound correct?

Any other tips would be appreciated.  Thanks

To add about the profiling issue.  I read that I shouldn’t change anything software wise.  So I ran the calibration without touching the Intel green brightness setting and it resulted in high de error.   But if I change the brightness of green to get the 3 primaries in line before calibration, everything comes out with a green check after calibration.  Does that make sense?

See the “useful resources” sticky topic in this forum.

How did you change the RGB gains?

    1. I searched those websites and my panel doesn’t come up.

    2. I had to go into intel graphics settings.  Then under display I has the option to adjust brightness and contrast of red, green and blue separately.  Since green high, I lowered the brightness of green to get all 3 in line.  This resulted in green check marks on the results.  I then reset the green brightness to default and calibrated again, which resulted in much higher errors and only a few green check marks.

Hmm. I don’t suppose this has wide or extended gamut, so probably white LED.

    2. I had to go into intel graphics settings.

And this didn’t interfere with calibration? Normally, these software controls work by changing the videoLUT. But the videoLUT is used for calibration, so there would be a conflict and either the calibration would override your driver settings or the other way around.

This resulted in green check marks on the results.

You mean the interactive display adjustment window?

Yea it definitely worked better with the intel settings being changed.  The green check marks are on the results page, not the interactive display window.

Results page? I’m not sure what you mean by this.
