Monitors/tool not recognised

I’m using both DisplayCal and the Spyder5 for the first time. No matter what I do, I haven’t been able to make DisplayCal recognize the Spyder or either one of my 2 displays.  The Spyder Express software itself can’t recognize the tool either but I do have the drivers set up. What am I doing wrong?

-Make sure ArgyllCMS bin folder is configured in DisplayCAL (File >locate…)

-Tools > detect displays and instruments.

If that does not work try to run a simple test with ArgyllCMS command like like:
dispcal -v -R            (maybe other params needed)
spotread -v            (maybe other params needed)
And the paste output here so people may figure what is going on.
