I have six monitors, one of which I just replaced.

My old layout was: 3x of the same IPS (LG UK650W) on the top row, and 3x of the same *VA on the bottom row. I got all of them to match pretty well.

And I just replaced one of the IPS monitors with a different IPS monitor: Samsung G70A, a 144hz screen.

I set the white balance visually, and the calibrations match almost perfectly except for one thing: Some of the (G70A) mid-tone reds are way over-saturated, and it makes people look like they have sunburned skin. I’ve ran it with and without a profile that I created with my colormunki photo, and I get the same oversaturation either way.

I’m using XYZLUT + matrix and default rendering intent of relative colorimetric.

What can I do to fix the red oversaturation?

I’m sending back the monitor, there are other issues too. Still though I’m curious why I had issues with red.

As you can see, there are two new technique forums. Be patient, it is going to take me a few days to move all the posts to the appropriate forum.
