Hey folks! Happy to be here 🙂
I have some questions concerning the calibration of my second screen. As my primary screen I use an Eizo CS2420 for photography work. My second screen is an old Samsung SyncMaster 2494HS (about 10 years old now).
Of course I do calibrate my Eizo and for this I use Eizos ColorNavigator + it’s own hardware (EX3) which is basically a rebranded Datacolor Spyder 5. The problem is that the EX3 just works for Eizo screens. I have to find another solution for my Samsung.
I’m absolutely aware of the fact that the Samsung won’t be as great as the Eizo but the colors are so damn off that I just don’t wanna look at the second screen 😀
Is it possible to tweak the Samsung just by eye manually with DisplayCAL? Like for example showing Red, then Green, then Blue and having the screens side by side for trying to match them as close as possible? Does that approach even make sense or is it a waste of time?
