    Hi

i would like to calibrate my 13 ” MacBook Pro 2015 for editing photos and print them but I have no idea what to set.

    • should I set the settings to Default, Laptop or sRGB?
    • should I activate the correction?
    • should I use the Whitepoint to a fixe 6500k
    • how should white and black levels be adjusted?
    • which tone curve should I set?
    • which profiling settings should I choose?

So many questions, but I have read so many posts here and just do not understand it.

    Hi,

what’s your lighting situation? That determines if and which calibration whitepoint target you should use. As laptops do not offer to adjust individual RGB gains, disable interactive adjustment on the calibration tab. Leave the rest of the settings unchanged.

You can check everymac.com to find out what panel and backlight your MacBook has, and thus which measurement mode to use.

Mostly with the window in the back

But if I disable the interactive adjustment, I can not set the whitepoint, right?
And should i use the gamma 2.2 tone curve or sRGB?

    Quote from everymac:

This model has a 13.3 “color widescreen LED backlit display with IPS technology with a 2560 by 1600 native resolution at 227 ppi (178-degree viewing angle) .It also supports scaled resolutions of 1680 by 1050, 1440 by 900, and 1024 by 640th

    Calibration will set the whitepoint.

And should i use the gamma 2.2 tone curve or sRGB?

    Doesn’t matter on a Mac.

The Spyder doesn’t have a matching measurement mode. You may try the “RG Phosphor” spectral correction or check the online colorimeter corrections database.
