I use an OLED correction now for my i1D3 that is measured with an Jeti 1211

But the problem is that i want a new custom white point.

i guess i still need the correction file for better accuracy right

do i just type in the new x and y values from the calibration tab then?

and under the 3D LUT tab choose “Apply calibration” ?

im going to do a 3D LUT for my B7 OLED but since white is adjusted from visually comparing white from the KRP-500M whitepoint is now different.

i want to use that new whitepoint in dispcal also

If the whitepoint is already adjusted, just set it to “As measured” on the calibration tab (and confirm that you want to use it for the 3D LUT as well).

white point that i want to use  is not the same as the correction file has

if i use “as measured” and check whitebalance on the calibration window it will be way off.

or does the program use the whitebalance that i get in the calibration window and and use it as reference point even if its not lined up 100% for RGB ?

There’s no need to adjust the display if you use “As measured”.

    great

so the whitebalance i get from the calibration window is the same after the profiling with the 3D LUT?

problem is that it takes to long time to test different options.

im about to run a 9000 patches lut on the B7 so everything must be set up correctly 🙂

Make sure rendering intent is set to relative colorimetric on the 3D LUT tab.

i did a test with the auto optimized testchart at 470 patches.

    looks good so far

    colors under dE .08

whitebalance intact and the same as before as i wanted

gamma great and rgb tracking good but not perfect.

but then 470 patches doesnt cover as much.

time for 9000 patches profiling now 🙂

Result after 9200 patches 3D LUT on the LG B7 OLED is crazy!

colors spot on with no posterization or colorbanding.

no colortints on grayscale ramp as it was with the B6

the B6 also changed whitebalance when ABL kicked in

ABL doesnt kick in with 120nit SDR on the B7 so its much more stable.

picture now with the 3D LUT is the best i have ever seen and it also beats the picture from the 3D LUT calibrated 500M.

thanks to this program that usually is tricky to get right 😉 the picture on the B7 is now on another level.

i must re watch many blu ray movies after this result
