    Hi

If I calibrate using my tv’s 10 point grayscale adjustment points to match a certain curve (Calman) … Would there be any benefit to later calibrating with DisplayCAL? … Would DisplayCAL’s calibration still be a good idea since it places points inbetween the 10 points I already calibrated in the tv’s hardware, or will this be redundant and possibly degrade an otherwise continuous gradient.

    Thanks

Depends. 1D LUT calibration may not be able to provide a benefit if the TV is already dialed in really well via its controls.
