    Hi,

Would like to know what is the best way to calibrate the screen of my MacBookPro 15″ Retina (2015). I am using the X-Rite i1Display Pro. Any recommendations (about the configuration of DisplayCal) for the best possible result…

    Thanks.

I am too. But I have a 13″ Retina 2015 and ColorMunki Display.

I set “White level drift” enabled.

    Interactive display adjustment – disabled

    Color temperature = 6500.

    Other options: Auto, quality: high.

Profile type: XYZ LUT + matrix

    My results in attachment.

    Hi,

the defaults should usually work well. If in doubt, choose the “Office & Web” preset (or “Laptop” if measuring a Laptop screen).

One important thing about calibration macbook screen – You should locate calibrator to the left or right side, not center(!!!) of the screen. Because apple-logo light slightly change colors.

    Ok, I have a question ..:

    I’m using a i1Display Pro to calibrating my MacBook Pro Retina (2015) – 6500 100 cd/m 2.2

    1. The ‘White level drift compensation’ is necessary? Will I get a better result?
    2. Calibration Speed: ‘Medium’ Is it better than high?
    3. Testchart: 2667

    ¿?

    Thanks…

This is only of use if the display white level drifts. Normally white LED backlights are pretty stable over time.

Calibration Speed: ‘Medium’ Is it better than high?

The difference in accuracy is small, the difference in speed more substantial (slower).

    Testchart: 2667

I doubt you want to go higher than that, as the higher you go the more diminishing returns you will have. A good quality LUT profile can already be had with a few hundred patches.
