i1 Display Pro not recognized

Trying to use i1 Display Pro with DC 3.5.3 on imac with OS 10.12.6 but the device is not
seen. Worked with Graeme and verified that Argyll_v2.0.0 does access the device through
terminal commands without any special commands or permissions. He suggested I contact this forum for help with DC. When I plug in the i1, I get the X-rite device service notication
IOUSBHostHIDDevice Device connected.

I’m sure this has been asked a bunch but a quick search did not come up with anything.

Have you tried menu Tools > Detect display & instruments ?

Attach the log after running instrument detection please.

Sorry, looks like I got it working now. Ultimately uninstalled the x-rite software..even though Argyll was able to initialize it with x-rite installed. Thanks for replying.
