Hi,
I have made two profiles using DisplayCAL. I can select both in the color settings menu – however, I see no no difference between these two profiles or none. Am I doing something wrong?
Cheers
Peter
PS This is in Ubuntu.
GNOME desktop? Wayland or X11 (probably the former)?
Yep. 18.04 lts.
Wayland can be a bit wonky at times. If you can, try X11.
How do I do that?
I think there’s an option for it on the login screen (“GNOME under X”, something like that).
There was only 2 choices…Ubuntu or Ubuntu with Wayland.
After turning Wayland on and off I now get a error message each time I turn on the computer. All is says is that its discovered a problem with a system program and if Id like to report.
You’ll probably have more luck asking in a Ubuntu-specific forum.
Ive already tried. No luck.
I’ve been trying some more though… and maybe it gives any clues (or maybe not). If I swap between these profiles (see attachment) the blue profile has a visible effect. However, there is no difference between the other ones, and its strange that the swapped green and red profile has no effect (going from the blue profile to any of the others gives the same colors). The other two could be very similar… what does the lightbulp at the right of the profile mean though? I have to get this sorted.
