Hello, I just finished calibrating my display with DisplayCal. I would like to export the profile in case I need to reinstall Fedora Linux. I noticed two options in the file menu:
- Create profile from measurement data…
- Create profile from extended display identification data…
Are these the options I’m looking for? If yes, I don’t know which one should I choose. In MacOS I had an .icc file that I used to copy in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ and that was all. Can I do something similar in Linux?
Hi,
you can just copy the profile from ~/.local/share/icc after it has been installed (or from ~/.local/share/DisplayCAL/storage/), but a better way to archive a profile is to use the “Create compressed archive…” button next to settings in DisplayCAL (irrespective of platform). Such an archive can then be loaded back into DisplayCAL at a later time.

Thank you. I appreciate it.
