Hey I’m kinda new to calibration and just wondering which of these 2 profiles are best
i did one with white point set to 6500k Gamma 2.2 and another with the white point set as measured Gamma 2.2
I’m kinda confused as i read everywhere that white point as measured will give better results but so far it seems that setting the white point to 6500k in displayCAL has made the verification report better figures.
I’ve attached them down below.

And I’m also wondering why when selecting 6500K in white point the x y values shows as 0.1 ΔE with coordinates of 0.3129 0.3292 while as measured shows it as 0.9-1.0 ΔE with coordinates 0.3130/0.3293 with a color temp of 6560K.
What’s most correct ?
I’m guessing the display white balance is already ~6500k according to your meter , possibly due to you calibrating RGB through the monitor’s menu in which case it won’t matter which method you choose. The delta error is 0 and 0.1 for the white point on both. The average and maximum are also extremely close. Nothing looks wrong to me.

Hmm okay think I’m gonna choose the D6500 profile tho as it says it has better RGB gray balance, lower max delta e and higher tonal values.
