Help with Instrument

Dear Support Persons:

I am new to DisplayCAL.  I have read extremely positive reviews of this software and would like to use and support it.  I am not a technical person, but rather a photographer so I would like to use the software calibration for this purpose.  I have downloaded Argyll, DisplayCAL and tried to run it.  I am using Spyder 4 elite instrument.  However, DisplayCAL does not seem to read the instrument.  It reads my monitor, but greys out instrument.  I have checked help forum, I have restarted computer several times, I have checked the cord to make sure USB connection is working properly (USB 2).  At this point, I am at a loss and looking for help.  In advance, thank you.

You need to install the Argyll driver for your Spyder (menu “Tools” -> “Instrument”).
