Hello,
I am having the hardest time being able to calibrate my surface pro 3. I have a spyder 3 pro that I use to calibrate my desktop monitor with and it works fine. I downloaded the installer for the spyder 3 pro for my surface and tried to install it and use it but it didn’t work.
I then researched and found that this displaycal software is even better, so I downloaded it and installed it. I then installed the argyl program as well and when came the time to import the software for the spyder, it gave me an error saying that I didn’t have the cd. Surface pro 3 doesn’t have a cd rom, so I had downloaded the driver from the datacolor website. But it doesn’t work.
Is there a solution to this? Will I ever be able to calibrate my surface pro 3? I just bought it today to be able to have portability to edit images with photoshop, but I need it to be calibrated.
Any advice and help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi,
you have to install the Argyll driver for the Spyder3 to be able to use
it with DisplayCAL (menu Tools -> Instrument -> Install ArgyllCMS driver).
Thank you very much for your reply. That is what I was trying to do and it wouldn’t let me and was saying that I didn’t have a cd. I tried it again and this time clicked the auto install and it worked. I was able to calibrate the display. Thank you again!
