    Florian,

OK, I have finally obtained a Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K card, installed it on my system and successfully profiled a new Dell Ultrasharp UP2716D 27 inch monitor in Rec.709, 2.4 gamma for color grading using DisplayCAL and a i1 DisplayPro probe. (see attached report)

Now I am wondering what would be the best calibration profile for my 2 working (GUI) monitors when working with Resolve?  Both are older, but reasonably good for typical work.

If I profile them for Rec.709, wouldn’t every other application that isn’t color managed look improper?  Should I just profile these both for sRGB?

I am unsure how Resolve handles colors in its interface as it relates to a profiled grading monitor attached through a Blackmagic display card profiled in a specific color space.

Thank you for  your help and this wonderful software!

    Frank

OK, skip that question with an obvious answer; I was up far too late when I asked the question. For some reason, I assumed the 2nd part of the Resolve tutorial was for a system attached monitor for PRIMARY grading purposes. A good sleep helped clear my brain and I have profiled both of my systems monitors.

    Thank you.
