Hi
i get a green cast near black on my 500M after profiling
wb near black isnt spot on before i profile is that a problem?
just wonder how important it is to adjust white ballance before profiling?
clearly dispcal boosts the green color to much near black.
when comparing near black greyscale without the 3d lut its completely neutral

here you have it
its only up to 4% white i get a green boost
at 5% dE is only around 6
from 1% to 4% its up to dE 17

can it be the meter that has problem reading near black or do i need a longer readtime for those low levels to get an stable result?
meter is a profiled i1D3 which you made the correction file from here if you remember

i also wonder since this modified 500M has blacks close to 0
to get more stable results near black can i raise blacklevel some when profiling?
and then lowering it back to what i use to have after

as an example i had to raise integration time to 2 or 3 seconds in chroma pure with 3 measurement smoothing readings to get stable results from 5% white when checking grayscale.
lower than that and i got different results at 5% and also 10% every time
since these are even lower levels maybe a read time of 4-5 seconds is needed?
dont know exactly how long it takes to read those low levels when profiling but it seems it goes faster than what i have in chroma pure

so no fix for this crap rigth?
fucked up grayscale from 1% to 4%
3d lut screwed up the white ballance when its perfect from the 500Ms native
this green boost near black is clerly visible on low apl scenes.
one tip
you must use a higher read time with dispcal near black with the i1D3 meters
its to fast right now with inconsistent readings as follows
its time to look at another program i think 😉
2016-08-01 at 1:29 #3704fucked up grayscale from 1% to 4%
You need to learn how to properly check grayscale, then you would have realized that equal RGB steps (R=G=B) stay equal through the 3D LUT. So wherever your green cast is coming from, it’s definitely not the 3D LUT.

Hogwash. The i1D3 uses adaptive integration times through Argyll CMS, near black up to 20 seconds.
