Hello,
Just upgraded my computer and tried to recalibrate and reprofile on the new one. Everything seemed fine until a restart, and the gamma seems to go back to default on its own.
I have it set up to a 2.25, and when I restart the system it seems washed out. A report from Displaycal verifies the gamma is 2.25 immediately after calibration, and 2.15 after a restart.
Any idea what might be causing this behavior/what might fix it?
Check that displaycal loader is active., it should be on tray.
If in doubt, go to File, install profile, choose your profile and when asked make sure you set calibration loader to DisplayCAL, not to OS.
Some win laptops with several users may prevent display cal loader to launch , since there is another account running although disconnected. Close the other account and run display cal calibration loader.
Profile loader seems to be working, calibration loader definitely set to DisplayCal. Loader even has a running tally of how many times profile was loaded today.
Quick update, changing the profile in Windows settings to default and back seems to fix the problem? It seems like windows is overwriting my settings at launch somehow.
