Hi and thank you for any help I can get with learning to understand DisplayCal and calibration and profiling in general. This is a first time for me and since basicly I don’t understand the concept yet I have copied the exact way that is shown in the DisplayCal promotion video (https://sourceforge.net/projects/dispcalgui/?source=typ_redirect) .

When I try my first profiling DisplayCal gives me an error saying: MadVR Direct Show filter is not found in the registry. Please make sure it is installed.

How can this be done? I’m greatful if answers could be pedagocically made.

Hi,

reset your settings to default (select “Default” under “Settings”), and do not try to use madVR if you don’t have it installed (select your actual display device, usually the first entry in the list).
