Hi all— new user here! I’m trying to load an .icm profile from notebookcheck for my T480s, and every time I try to load their .icm file, I get the error message: “the file does not contain settings”. I’ve tried a few different files with the same result. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
Hi,
to load a profile in DisplayCAL, it needs to contain settings. If the profile was created outside DisplayCAL, this is not the case. Is your goal to install the profile? Then you don’t load it, you select menu “File…” -> “Install display device profile”. But you don’t need DisplayCAL for that. You can also simply right-click the file, select “Install”, and then use profile loader menu -> profile associations (or Windows color management settings) to assign it to the correct display.
