    Hello,

my new Laptop with 500 nits seems to be bad, because DisplayCAL measures only 265.03 cd/m2 (nits). So I have to send the Laptop back. Today is the last day to return it… I want to verify, if I did something wrong. I am no photographer. I just want to have a bright and good display for working outside.

Do I read the report correctly? Does “White level” mean brightness? So max. brightness of the display is 265 nits? (Of course I have set brightness to 100% during testing.)

    Report on uncalibrated display device:

21:12:57,415 dispcal: Warning – Unable to determine effective Video LUT entry bit depth

I have bought a new SpyderX Pro. Latest DisplayCAL 3.8.9.3 is installed. Laptop is: Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 2 UHD. Display-Type see screenshot.

    Can you help me, please?

Oh boy, it is really annoying that I cannot edit my post… because there is a time limit for editing in this forum.

So I tought deleting is working and startet a new one. But then I realized that the “delete” option is just my activity… So, now there are 2 posts – yeah… 🙁

Ok, admins, so please delete this older one – but only if there are no comments so far.
