Does the x-rite i1Display Studio work with DIsplayCAL?

I’ve heard that the i1Display Studio does not work with 3rd party software and I was wondering if its true. Also, is the SpyderX Pro or the i1Display Studio better at their price range.

I have one and it works flawlessly with DisplayCAL – just like all my other i1Display Pro/Plus sensors. It’s noticeably better than my SpyderX.
